This project set a new standard in design and as a result was recognised by the National Police Estates Group as an exemplar of a roll out across the UK.

The cutting-edge, Next Generation Police Investigation Centre (PIC) is a three-storey BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accredited centre which houses a modern reception area, 36 custody suites, offices, specialist units, a vehicle dock and recreational areas for the 430 staff who work from the facility.

The internal pre-cast concrete units were formed off-site meaning MEPH coordination was required at a very early stage to enable the units to be installed ready for the fit out.
